The calculator uses fixed conversion factors anchored to the liter. One US liquid gallon equals 3.785411784 liters and one cubic foot equals 28.3168466 liters, so it multiplies your input by the source factor and divides by the target factor. Your only inputs are the number, the from unit, and the to unit. Practical tip: check if your source uses US or imperial gallons, because an imperial gallon holds about 4.546 liters.
