About the Golf Handicap Calculator
This calculator computes your golf handicap index and converts it into a course handicap for any course and tee you plan to play. You enter your scores and course data, and you get an index plus a ready-to-use course handicap for tournament play.
The tool follows the World Handicap System. It calculates each score differential as Adjusted Gross Score minus Course Rating, multiplied by 113 and divided by the Slope Rating, averages your best 8 differentials from the last 20 rounds, and applies the 0.96 adjustment to produce your index. The course handicap comes from Handicap Index times Slope Rating divided by 113, plus Course Rating minus Par. Post your adjusted gross score, capped by net double bogey on bad holes, instead of the raw total.
