About the VAT Calculator
This calculator computes Value Added Tax amounts for business transactions. Enter a net price to add VAT, or a gross price to extract the VAT it contains. The output shows the VAT amount, the net price, and the gross price.
The tool applies the standard VAT formulas: gross = net × (1 + rate) to add tax, and net = gross ÷ (1 + rate) to remove it. You enter the amount, the VAT rate, and the calculation mode. Check if your starting figure already includes VAT before choosing a mode, since that is the most common mistake. For large or cross-border deals, consider consulting a tax professional.
