About the Scientific Notation Calculator
This calculator converts any number into scientific notation and back to decimal form. It also adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides values written in scientific notation and returns the result in the same format.
The tool uses the standard form a × 10n, where a is a number with one nonzero digit before the decimal point and n is an integer exponent.
